This is Magnus Five, an extraordinary cuvée bringing together the elegance of merlot from the Sinner area and the strength and body of Cabernet Franc. Mr Frank Smulders, Master of Wine, also contributed his experience and know-how in the preparation of the final blend. in the glass it presents a rich ruby colour with violet highlights. It has an intensive bouquet of dark berries and roast flavours with a light hint of vanilla. Juicy fruit flavours such as dark cherry and blackberry are balanced by the barrique tones of coffee and chocolate. The more pronounced tannins support the wine and indicate significant aging potential.
